TOZER

Post by mw001b5532 »

Subject: MAY TOZER, b 1893, OVERDAY FARM, LUPPIT.

PARENTS: JOHN ROWLAND WILLIAM TOZER, b 1861, Crediton; ELIZABETH ANNIE DENSEM, b 1863, Bremridge, Cheriton Fitzpaine.
Their first child was LESLIE TOZER, b. 1891.

JRW TOZER, his wife and Leslie appear to have vanished from all records after 1893.

MAY TOZER was still living in Devonshire in1901.

However, MAY TOZER was living with a Devonshire farmer and his wife in Woolscot, Rugby, Warwickshire in 1911.
The farmer was Henry William Cade, b. 1850, Shobroke, Devon; his wife was Elizabeth A. Cade, b. 1840, Crediton.

MAY TOZER married WILLIAM STUCHBURY, b 1891, Hillesden, Buckinghamshire, on 20/5/1917 in Daventry, Northamptonshire. They had three children: George, Winifred and Frederick.

MAY TOZER died on 2/3/1928 from pneumonia and measles.

WILLIAM STUCHBURY was my wife's grandfather.

Has anyone any information why the family split up?

Regards,

Mike Walker

Grahame,
Thank you for your information.
Regarding my initial message, I have found out that, in 1901, MAY TOZER was still living in Devon (I don't know exactly where) but the CADE family had already moved to Rugby.
Many thanks,
Mike Walker

Hi,
I've got an Elizabeth Tozer on my Blackmore pedigree. who married John Moore Blackmore. I've only got a death date for Elizabeth of 1808.
